RMK Make Up Base Review

By Lotionsandpotions @LotionNPotion
Hello!
In the May Joliebox I received some RMK make up base and I thought I'd do a quick post with a little review as I've now given it a go!
I wasn't thrilled or disappointed when I saw the RMK make up base in my box as I'd never actually heard of the brand so didn't have any preconceptions about it.
I don't really tend to use primer and don't actually own any. This is probably because I don't tend to wear foundation so I don't need a product to help it stay on my face! However, I broke out my one and only foundation just for you  in order to give the primer a proper try and see if it was any good.
It has quite a thin consistency, but feels nice and moisturising and sinks into the skin well. I left it for a minute or two to sink in properly before applying some Liz Earle Skin Tint in Bare 01. I usually apply this with my fingers (on the rare occasions that I use it), but I had just watched a tutorial by Anna and was feeling inspired so I used a brush (nothing special - the Real Techniques brushes are on my wishlist).
I have to say - I was impressed! The RMK make up base is pretty damn good! My make up stayed put all day, didn't flake or fade and I didn't have to touch it up during the day once. RESULT.
I'm going to try it out without the foundation next time and see what it's like with less make up - whether I get all shiny or not basically!
Grace
