Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

By Yougottabegorgeousx @yougottabgorgex
Let me just begin by saying I really dislike this product, I know everyone on YouTube and in the blogger world raves about this, but I really dislike it. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
I purchased this from Sainsburys after hearing such amazing things about it. It was £5, so I thought I would give it a go. I originally wanted the concealer but after seeing the foundation on offer I thought I would try it and I can always use it as a concealer.
To begin with the color is awful! I got this is Ivory and really its awful. It is very orange and nothing like any other ivory foundations I own. It was the palest shade so there is nothing I can really do about that. Yes as I said I really strongly dislike the color match.
When you first put the product on it doesn't feel horrible or drying but once it has settled it really does settle. It sits right in any pores and clings to any dry patches. It is marketed as a "dewy" "anti-fatigue" foundation, this makes me think it would give a "dewy" effect (noo... really...). I thought this would be great for the summer months, but to me (it could be different to you) it goes horrible and dry and cakey. I also don't believe it lasts very long either. It definitely fades off after a couple of hours.
This product is £8.99, and I do not believe it is worth this price but it may work differently for you. If you have oily skin it make sit nicely and give the dewy effect that is expected.
One final little problem is that it actually has little bits of fine glitter in it. If I tilt my bottle in certain lights then I can see full on glitter bits. Also if I put this on my hand and then look at it a few hours later its pretty much all glitter, so if thats my hand I dread to think what my face looks like. You can purchase it here for £8.99
