Like many others I am a big fan of the original Apocolips line, with their intense pigmentation & long wear time. Could a matte version be just as good?
Here's the short and simple answer, yes, yes it can!I'm judging this from the one shade I own '307 Meteoric Matte' a deep raspberry red shade.The shade selection is stunning, the color pay off is amazing & the wear time is pretty darn great too. I wouldn't class them as 100% matte as they do have a slight sheen to them but over time the matte effect does deepen, & in my opinion that just makes them that bit easier to wear & apply.
Lip liner is a must as precise application isn't the easiest, only because of the dark shade. I get about four hours minimum of color wear. The only thing that budges this stuff is when I'm drinking or eating (yesterday's five guys burger really set this bad boy to the test) & it leaves a pretty rosey red tint on my lips when the product wears off. I do sometimes use this product for a hint of rouge on my lips, by lightly patting the applicator on my lip & blending in with my finger, the tint will last me pretty much all day.
