Hello! ~♥ Another of the many products that has been collecting dust here for a while is the VOV Showcase Ball on Cheek in #1 Bebe Pink. I remember I bought it out of frustration when the Lavshuca Spring Collection 2012 contained this extremely beautiful Lavshuca Fairy Candy Cheeks Blusher came out and I could not find it anywhere. In my search for an online shop that sold it I stumbled upon the VOV Showcase Ball on Cheek blusher. VOV is a Korean brand, though at this point I had never heard of it. I liked the packing of the product and ended up buying it as compensation for the Lavshuca Fairc Candy Cheeks (Which I haven't bought till today, even though I walked past it countless times last time I was in Japan. I wonder why...?)
The VOV Showcase Ball on Cheek blusher comes in a cute and pink cardbox packing. The blusher container itself is made out of plastic. It's also pink, but has baby blue stripes. I think it is supposed to be circus themed? Inside comes a simple puff with a cute ribbon on it. Overall the design is just lovely.
The box contains 12g of blusher balls. The Bebe Pink version I got has one light pink and a dark pink shade, as well as a very light lavender, white and green one, so pearls in 5 different colors. The other version available is Bebe Light and it appears to have brown, cream, yellow and white pearls. All pears are shimmering
The color pay-off of these is really strong, however, there is one problem: Green shades neutralize reddish/pinkish shades, and together with the white color, as well as the lavender one which is almost white too, you get a combined result of....almost nothing at allThe result is a very soft, very decent and almost not noticable light pink shimmering color. It is irritating me, because it almost appears to be more suitable as a highlighter than a blusher with it's light shade and its shimmer.
Applying the blusher doesn't work too well. If you use the puff you have dots of all kinds of different colors on the puff, and then on your face. It is impossible to get the colors mixed up on the puff. If you use a brush blush you can mix the different colors better, but the box is very small and very full and each time I try this balls fall out, so neither method is really satisfying to me.
Overall I am quite disappointed in this product. Of all my blushers it is probably the worse to use. Too bad, because the design was really neat.
