Review: TRESemmé Split Remedy Intense Sealing Serum

A haircare range that will actually repair split ends? Well I think most of us know that isn't possible despite TRESemme's bold claims that its Split Remedy range is "proven to reduce split ends by up to 80% after just 3 uses". What I can believe is that a haircare line can reduce the appearance of split ends by sealing over the breakage and give the appearance of sleek well maintained hair.
I purchased this completely on a whim. I had not heard any specific feedback about the product so held no real preconceptions on how this would perform. I am under no illusions that by smothering this all over the lengths of my hair I am in fact just covering it with lovely silicones which give the illusion of a smoother hair folicle but what can I say... I am loving this!
What I love about it is not that I have noticed any real difference in the condition of my hair but I love how this product makes my easily tangled hair so much more manageable once I am out of the shower. I have fine hair (but LOTS of it) that is color treated so anything that makes combing my hair after a shower more manageable is ok with me!
Word of warning don't get too slap happy with this product- and apply only to the ends I can guarantee too much will make you hair flat and greasy. There are directions to this effect on the bottle- stick to them unless you want to be reviving your hair with dry shampoo. I've found best results by applying to freshly washed hair that is about 50% dry- apply to the ends and leave to penetrate the hair then blowdry or style as usual.
Have you tried any products from the range? How did you enjoy them? Should I look into the Shampoo and Conditioner?
