Hello lovelies,

this is the second palette from Elizabeth Arden’s spring 2013 collection – Violet Bloom. This palette is also still available on feelunique for GBP 22 (although this one is often out of stock).

The palette comes in a compact with a mirror and sponge tip applicator. It contains 5 grams of eyeshadow in three different finishes: shimmer, metallic and matte.

Violet Bloom consists of a metallic light pinkish taupe, shimmery pale pink and matte dark plum purple. I like this eyeshadow combination a lot – it offers a nice variety of looks – from neutral to dramatic smoky eye.

The eyeshadows are very nice – they have buttery soft texture and they are pigmented. I’d say that the pigmentation of this trio is slightly better than that of Viridian Bloom. The least pigmented shade was pale pink and I usually use this shade as a top coat over other eyeshadow color. This one had a bit of glitter fallout, too, but it wasn’t that bad. Other than this, all other shade applied evenly.

I like this trio a lot – it seems like it is more universally flattering, compared to the first one which has very warm undertones.

xoxo Tamara
