Review: Skinfood Shea Butter Hand Lotion

By Herugliness
Hello! ~This is a review of the Skinfood Shea Butter Hand Lotion. I will keep this short as there isn't really much to say about this product.Skinfood Shea Butter Hand Lotion ReviewSkinfood Shea Butter Hand Lotion ReviewIt comes in a simple looking 30g tube and this is what Skinfood has to say about this product:
A nutritive hand lotion with shea butter that provides intensive nourishment to dry, rough skin.
Shea Butter Story: Shea butter is extracted from the seed of the karite tree, also known as the "Magic Tree" or "Plant of Immortality" for its amazing benefits. This natural butter has been used to nurture dry skin and increase skin resilience and firmness for centries.
How To Use: Apply liberally to hands whenever necessary.
I haven't actually used any kind of hand lotion or even body lotion for the most part of my life, but lately my hands are horribly dry. Might be the extreme long winter we are having here, I really don't know, never had this problem before, so a hand lotion with intensive nourishment for dry and rough skin seems like just the right thing to me.

The lotion has quite a thick texture, more like a thick cream than a lotion, and has a very faint, but also very pleasant, slightly sweet scent to it. I always like the scent of Skinfood products as they are never too strong and never seem too chemical (even though they do use artificial fragrance in a lot of their products). After using it doesn't leave any kind of scent on my hands at all, which is good for people who are very sensitive to scents and/or who do not like every of their body parts to have a different scent. My greatest fear with all kinds of creams and lotions is that they will leave me with a sticky feeling, especially with hand creams/lotions as it means you cannot touch anything with your hands, but the Skinfood Shea Butter Hand lotions soaks into your skin instantly and does not leave any sticky feeling at all, so it's really perfect for me. I am not sure it really helps my dry skin with a long-time effect, but it dooes help for several hours after using it.This is probably nothing extraordinary, but I think it's a solid product that does what it is supposed to do!
