Either way, the normal packing contains 160g, the one I got is 50g only and, as far as I remember, there was also a big 300g version of the alternative packing available.Skinfood says about the Skinfood Black Sugar Scrub Foam:
The mineral-rich Brazilian black-sugar grains in the scrub foam smoothly cleanse off the old layer leaving your skin moist after washing. Take a moderate amount of the foam on a wet hand and lather it sufficiently. After massaging it over your face, rub gently, rinse off with tepid water then finish with cold water.I had a sample of the Skinfood Black Sugar Mask from the same line before and didn't like it that much, mostly because it had these huge sugar grains and it seemed like quite a harsh thing to rub on your skin. Luckily the Skinfood Black Sugar Scrub Foam is quite different, because the overale texture is like a foam cream and the grains inside it are much smaller than the ones of the mask.
The product has quite a strong scent, but I am not entirely sure it is the exact same as the one of the mask, as it has been such a long time since I tried the mask and I remember not liking it, while I am rather insignificant about the scent of the foam. It's quite unique and food-like, probably supposed to be the scent of black sugar, but I honestly do not know what black sugar smells like, so I cannot tell.I quite like using this product, because it is really easy to apply and creates a lather in which the single sugar graisn seem to dissolve in once you scrub it on your face, so the product does not seem too harsh on the skin, while it seems to be quite effective. I did not have any kind of skin irritations or any other bad side-effects and my overal skin condition has not been too bad lately, though I am not sure I can attribute it to the foam or any of the other products I am currently using, or a combination of all. I am only using this like once or twice a week. This product works well for me and would be one of the products I would consider repurchasing if there weren't like a hundred different ones I owuld like to try too.
