Review: Skin79 Crystal Peeling Gel

By Herugliness
Hello! ~ Today I will review the Skin79 Crystal Peeling Gel. There isn't any particular reason why I picked out this product, other than that I was needing a new peeling cream and thought I would try out something different than my "usual" brands, as I don't use Skin79 products often. The packing of the product is a good reminder why: It is just very mature - or, to put it in other words - boring looking. It comes in a simple silver cardbox packing and a simple white 100ml tube with a silver cap. Nothing special to see here. Skin79 Crystal Peeling Gel ReviewSkin79 calls this a "Peeling Gel of Cellulose type that cares skin smooth and healthy by removing dead skin cell causing rough skin" and that  "also can be used for sensitive skin".Skin79 Crystal Peeling Gel ReviewSKin79 says: "Containing Cellulose from plants and Sutilains components that helps with exfoliation. Removes accumulated sebum and dead skin cells, it bestows vitality to the skin and makes the skin texture clean and sleek. Trehalose and Hyaluronic Acid soothe sensitive skin and maintain the balance of oil and water. Apple extract calms skin and protects it from harmful environment and stress."
Skin79 Crystal Peeling Gel ReviewThe ingredient list is, at least compared to some other similar products, pretty short and Cellulose is one of the main ingredients.
Skin79 Crystal Peeling Gel ReviewI was very surprised about the texture. Obviously it is a gel, which was to be expected from the product's name. However, all peelings I have tried so far usually had some kind of grains inside them, but with this one I cannot see or feel any grains at all. I have read some other reviews mentioning some sand like grains, but I really cannot confirm it. To me this peeling gel is really just one smooth white paste.

I've also read some people saying that it did absolutely nothing for their skin, and I have to admit that this was also my first impression. After massaging it onto my skin I cannot see any visible effect, nor does it feel any differently. However, I did notice that it does indeed peel off stuff that does not belong on your skin after using a face mask that gets rock-hard on my skin and I absolutely cannot wash it off anymore, no matter how much I rub on it with my face cleanser. When I rubbed it off with the Skin79 Crystal Peeling Gel it finally came off.
My impression is that this is a super mild peeling with only a minimal peeling effect. The packing says to use this once or twice a week, but I think this could be used more often, maybe even daily, because it is so mild. It doesn't give me the throughout cleaning other peelings do, but it's nice to have some kind of product where I don't have to be afraid of over-using it.
