These nail colors caught my attention because of the cute bottle they come in. They are beautifully shaped and the label looks girlish cute with its pink text and ribbon on it. Unfortunately the label turns out to be quite unhandy. It is not only on the cap, but one label that goes down the whole back of the bottle, so that in order to open the bottle, you have to remove, or tear apart, the label. The Sweet Closet nails come in a huge selection of 36 different shades. GD007 appeared to be a pretty light brown-gold shade in the bottle.
I could not open the bottle in the store to take a look at the color on the brush, because I would have to destroy the label, but if I could have opened it, I would not have bought this nail color, because you can quite clearly see that it is a transparent base with many tiny golden particles in it.
When you apply the first layer you almost cannot see anything at all. Even as a topcoat this is hardly noticeable. A second layer doesn't help much, and only after a third layer all the tiny shimmering particles start to show up. For me this makes this nail color almost unusable even as a topcoat, because if you have already applied one or two layers of a nail color, and then have to apply 3 more layers of this to get any kind of result, then you end up with 5 layers on your nails, which is not only extremely time-consuming, doesn't dry well, but usually also does not last very long.
I am very disappointed in these kind of nail colors that look so pretty in the bottle, but then give almost no visible result.
