Review: JoBaz Hair Colour Remover
I saw this item posted on Instagram and as soon as I saw it I went out to Priceline to get my hands on the stuff. I recently coloured my hair a dark cherry red- I loved the color but it faded so fast and was getting expensive to maintain. I was also secretly missing my old hair color.
I have used hair color removers in the past with mixed outcomes. In years gone by I had tried the MyHD Colour Remover with disappointing results. I found it left my hair a horrible brassy color and dried my hair out terribly. Before slathering the JoBaz on my hair I did the obligatory Google search for some reviews. Most of the reviews I read were positive so I was excited to give it a go.
The products claims it can be used to:
  1. Remove wrong or unwanted colour
  2. Prevent color buildup
  3. Use before salon colouring or switching colourants
I was prepared for numbers 1 or 3- I was prepared to leave it at 1 if the color turned out well or move onto number 3 if it didn't. Luckily the color I was left with was good so I didn't feel the need to go over it with another semi-permanent.

Before and After

The application was very similar to applying a semi-permanent hair color but at the end during the rinsing process it requires you to apply to the hair a buffer- it says to bring the hairs pH back to it's normal level. As you can see with the before and after photos the color I have been left with is not wildly different however it has removed some of the deeper red tones that were in my hair. Some of my original foils can now been seen poking through again. You can repeat the process if you are after a more dramatic result. Overall I am very happy with the product and result. I would highly recommend it if you are after a good color remover.
The JoBaz Hair Colour Remover can be found at Priceline RRP $29.95 AUD.
