Review Hair Products from SheaMoisture!

By Beauteandtheblog
Hello everyone!
It's been over a month since I've posted last, and I apologize for my random hiatus. I know I say this every time, but it's been incredibly busy around here lately and B.a.t.B has taken a little bit of a backseat. I hope I can get back to regular posting again very soon, so thank you for all your kind emails asking me how I'm doing. I assure you all will be well again soon!
If you're wondering about the Perfume Aromatics perfume giveaway winners, the winners have already been emailed and the perfumes sent out! I just haven't gotten around to the winners post yet.. sorrysorrysorry!
Today I have a lovely review for you of two new hair products I had the opportunity of trying, both from the company SheaMoisture!
What I love about SheaMoisture is that all of their products are made with natural organic ingredients, and none of them contain any of the yucky stuff like parabens, phtalates, paraffin, sulfates, mineral oil, etc. And best of all, most of their products are under $10!
The first thing I tried was the Curl-Enhancing Smoothie:

Even though this product says its for thick, curly hair, and I have pretty thin, straight hair, I figured I could still make it work to help give me some texture and hold when I do curl my hair. It also contains a whole bunch of natural oils like coconut oil and neem oil to help moisturize.
First off, the smell is absolutely amazinggg - it smells like a pina colada, and it's just so coconut-y and yummy and summery. I like to use it after curling my hair to give my hair some texture and to keep it silky, and it even adds a little bit of hold.
Calling it a smoothie is actually really accurate - it's very creamy and conditioner-like, and I find it really helps to keep frizz away and make my locks super silky. Highly recommend this product, even if you don't have thick, curly hair! It works great for styling, and the smell is to die for!
The second product I tried was the Reconstructive Elixir:

I've been super into argan oil treatments and hair oils lately especially after the winter because my hair's gotten extremely dry; I feel like it needs a little extra TLC these days, and this product's been a great addition!
This spray is formulated for dry, damaged hair, and it has argan oil and shea butter to help heal and strengthen. I spray it on damp hair after I shower to use as a heat protectant before I blowdry, or sometimes I even spray it on after I style with a hot tool to lock in shine, and it works great both ways.
My only complaint is a teeny weeny one - I'm not a huge fan of the smell. Though the smell itself isn't anything terrible, I just find that it lingers, and it's not my favorite scent. It wouldn't prevent me from repurchasing though; I must be spoiled by the Curl Enhancing Smoothie! :p
I would still highly recommend this product though - my hair definitely feels softer and just all around healthier after using this, and it only takes a couple sprays each time!
Best part is, both products are just $9.99 and you can find them at Target or Walgreens :)Anyone tried any of SheaMoisture's other products? Let me know what you think!
Love,Belle
