Review: DHC Acne Spot Therapy

I seldom blog about pimple creams because I always felt that pimple creams don’t always work and it is very difficult for me to post a review on.
That said, it doesn’t mean that I have not been using any pimple cream. Like I have mentioned that I have occasional breakouts and I get clogged pores pretty easily, this means I still have to have something for emergency days like that.

Currently I am using one from DHC Acne Spot Therapy. I have been using this for many months already. And let me just get this straight, it doesn’t work for everyone. My sister tried and it doesn’t work for her. It works for me but not every time. The product loses effect if I use it too often.

This spot-treatment works quickly to clear up blemishes and help prevent new ones from forming with a 3% concentration of sulfur. Manage your acne with sulfur’s antiseptic and skin healing properties combined with antioxidant-rich, nourishing vitamin E. And that’s not all—brightening vitamin C and licorice fight visible redness and discoloration caused by blemishes.

It dispenses out as a lotion texture which makes application easy. I always like to make my pimple cream the last step of my night time skincare because I usually apply generously over the pimples and clogged pores and would like the pimple cream to stay that way without me rubbing it off when applying other skincare products over it.

What I like about it:
It doesn’t dry out the pimples like other pimple cream. Meaning to say, my pimples just disappear as time goes without any scabs or scars. It makes my tiny clogged pores go away in two days time due to salicyclic acid, and big pimples in 3 to 5 days time.

What I don’t like about it:
It cannot be used daily frequently. I usually stop after a week of usage and only use it again when I am breaking out again. Doesn’t work for cystic acne.
