Review: Canmake Perfect Serum BB Cream #02 Natural

By Herugliness
Hello! ~ Today I will review the Canmake Perfect Serum BB Cream in #02 Natural. I already bought this last year in Japan, but could not try it until this summer because it was too dark for my pale skin in winter. I really love Canmake, it is one of my most favorite brand and I am only used the best quality from them for a very cheap price. However, usually Canmake packing design is rather boring, so I am very pleased with how this BB Cream looks and this was also why it caught my eye in the first place. I think it is also the first Japanese BB Cream I have ever tried, since all the ones I had before were Korean or Chinese.

The Canmake Perfect Serum BB Cream is available in #1 Light and #2 Natural, and there is also a different version of this available, which is called "Canmake Perfect Serum BB Cream Light". I don't think it was available last year, or I did not see it, because being a fan of light-texture BB Creams I would probably have picked this one instead. The Canmake Perfect Serum BB Cream holds 30g of product and has a sun protection of SPF50 & PA+++, which is, in my opinion, too much. Too much sun isn't good, but neither is too little. It contains 21 types of beautifying ingredient, which are: Hyaluronic acid, collagen, ceramides, royal jelly extract, witch-hazel extract, arbutin, Job's tears extract, Saxifraga stolonifera extract, aloe vera extract, ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, artichoke leaf extract, cherry leaf extract, prune resolvent, seaweed extract, soybean extract, glycosyl trehalose, gingko extract, peach leaf extract, hydrolyzed silk, European white birch bark extract and multiflora rosehip extract!
Canmake Perfect Serum BB Cream #02 Natural Review The Canmake Perfect Serum BB Cream in #02 Natural has quite a yellow/orange shade. I did the swatch before summer already and you can see how at that point it did not fit my skin color at all, but with just the slightest tan, this works okay for me, even if I feel like it is still a bit too yellowish.  Canmake advertises this to be suitable both as foundation, as well as as a base, but I feel like the texture is too thick and the coverage too strong to use this as a base. My skin condition is pretty bad, and this BB Cream was enough to cover all my blemishes, however, it does look caked easily.Apart from being rather thick the texture is  creamy and a bit hard to work with. What is really disappointing is the oil control: For all the promised benefits, Canmake indeed does not mention oil control at all and it didn't take me long to figure it out. The oil control is very poor, and because the texture of this BB Cream is so thick, it gives me the unpleasant and greasy "Help! My face is melting look". Worse of all is that the BB Cream won't stick to my face properly anymore once it starts being oily/greasy. I once sat there reading something and put my cheeke on my hand for holding, and when I stopped reading I noticed that at the place where my hand had been, my face was completely BB Cream free (you could tell the difference because of how yellowish the BB Cream is). It also took away my blusher, which was applied on top of the BB Cream and all of it was neatly sticking to my hand!I am kind of sad, I had high hopes for this product. I guess if you do not have oily skin, and preferable a yellowish skin tone, this might still be a good product for you, but it does not work well for me.
