You are supposed to apply the product all over your lashes, leave it to soak in for 30 seconds to a minute and then gently wipe off with a cotton pad with a stroking motion. Afterwards you are supposed to clean the brush to make sure no mascara remains on it.
Just like a mascara this product has a small mascara "brush", though it is very small and more like a tiny comb than a brush. It looks like not a lot of the product could get stuck on it, but covering your lashes with the fluid works quite well due to the "360° fluid pick-up that captures every millimeter of your lashes".
The Canmake Mascara Remover appears to be a clear, water-like liquid. According to Canmake it is supposed to have grapefruit scent due to grapefruit peel oil as ingredient, though I have to admit that I never noticed any scent about it at all. Maybe you can notice if you sniff the bottle or application brush, which I never did, but during normal usage you will most likely never notice any scent at all.
It also contains ingredients like Asian ginseng root extract and chamomile flower extract as moisturizing agents and macadamia nut oil as emollient agent.
For me the mascare works really well, I apply it on my lashes, wipe them with a cotton pad and don't even feel like I need to wait 30 seconds, but can whip off the mascara almost instantly. It is really a very convenient method to remove your mascara and would probably also work well as a product you take out with you if you want to remove your mascara somewhere on the way, like maybe when you go out for swimming.
What I also like is that you really don't need much of the product, because you can cover all your lashes with it with just one stroke. This means that even though, if you take the weight of the content of this product alone and compare it to a regular eye-makeup remover in a bottle, this one is much more expensive per ml (The price is around 600Yen), it can last you just as long as a full bottle.
I would appreciate it if the product was suitable for non water-proof mascara as well and if the applicator was white instead of black, so you could see better whether there is some mascara remaining, which you need to clean up, but these are really just minor complains and overall this is a great product!
