Review: BRTC Gold Caviar BB Cream and Glamorous Sparkling BB Cream

By Beauteandtheblog
Hey guys!
So I've been receiving a lot of questions about Asian beauty products, BB creams, skincare etc. lately, so I was so excited when BRTC let me try out two of their BB creams.

The Gold Caviar and the Glamorous Sparkling BB Cream
Here are the swatches:

Unfortunately, both were too light for my current summer tan. They both only come in one shade, which could be a possible downside for anyone with darker skin. However, they do oxidize after about 15 minutes, and match your skin tone a little better:

As you can see, there is quite a difference between the initial swatch and the oxidized swatch. So if you find a BB cream is too light for you initially, try waiting a couple minutes, and it might match your skin tone better.
Let's take a closer look at the Gold Caviar. Here's what it says on the front:

"This BB Cream helps in providing rich nutrients and shaping care. Very high protection against sun aging and sun tanning"
The back of the tube and the box it came in is all in Korean, so I can't read it :/
It has SPF 50, which is essential to protecting your skin from aging.
The texture is rather thick, but very easy to blend. Because its thick though, it has a nice medium coverage, and a little goes a very long way. Since I haven't been able to use it on my full face, I've been using it as an undereye concealer, and it works really well.

I used it on the left, and you can see it definitely covered up some of the darkness, compared to the right.
So, until my skin lightens up, I won't be able to use it for full face, but so far, I think it's a really great BB cream. Good coverage, really smooth and blendable.
As for the Glamorous Sparkling BB cream, here's what the front says:

"Soft shimmers and outstanding coverage gives the skin a refined look that looks as the skin's own glow and softly shining look"
It has SPF 36, which is also very good. It definitely has shimmers in it and has a pretty reflective quality, but maybe a little too much.
When you're in the sunlight, you can definitely see little glitters in it, and it's a little too Edward Cullen for me.

When you're out of the sun though, the shimmers aren't noticeable at all; it just looks more like a dewey sheen.Even though it's a little too light for me now, I can't say that I would ever put that much shimmer all over my face. My face is already a little oily, and I don't want to add more shine.
I did find another use for it though. I've actually been using it as a highlighter and an undereye brightener, and I love it for that. It really gives you that summery glow.

You can definitely see the light reflecting off.
These BB creams retail for about $28, which is a little pricy, but a little goes a long way! You really only need a pea size amount for your whole face.
You can buy it on BRTC's online store, http://brtcstore.com.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Love, Belle
