Review: Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub

By Herugliness
Hello! ~Today I want to review the Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub. This is one of the rarer cases where I actually bought an item because I needed it, unlike for example the  10th brown-shaded eyeshadow which I just bought because the packing looked so adorable. ^^,My lips are always so extremely dry and chipped, so I thought "Why not try out a lip scrub?".Surprisingly enough I could only find 2 lip scrubs in Germany, both by brands I dislike, so obviously I went on search for one in the Asian market. Probably every Asian brand out there seems to sell lip scrubs, but my choice fell on the Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub, because of its very cute packing, and because I love apple taste/scents.

Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub ReviewThe Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub comes in a cute green apple-shaped pot. It contains 6g, so be aware that this product is really tiny!
Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub contains Sugar, rice and apple extracts that moisturizes the lips while gently removing dead skin cells. Nourishes your lips to keep it moist and soft. Regular exfoliating of lip keratin improves overall staying power of lip gloss and lipstick and prevents feathering of lipstick.
The main ingredients are Black Sugar for dead skin cell removal), Unpolished Rice for nutrition supply and Vitamin Bead Particle for nutrition supply.
Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub ReviewBaviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub ReviewThe lip scrub is of a orange/peach-color and I have to think of melons when I see it in the open pot. ^^ It has a strong apple scent and  taste. The scent/taste is the artificial apple-bubblegum kind of taste. While I usually don't like such artificial scents, I really love the scent of apples, artificial or not, so this is just my taste. The texture of the scrub is a sticky paste with small transparent grains inside.
Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub Review
I applied it on my really dry lips, massaged the scrub on my lips and then took it off with a cotton pad like instructed. I wanted to show you after-photos, but, seriously, I could not tell a difference on the photos! My dead, dry skin was still firmly attached to my lips, just like in the photo above. No visible difference at all On top  of that I had the feeling that my lips felt dryer than before after using the scrub, so I had to apply lip balm immediately. This was one of the products I was expecting a lot from, but I honestly have to say that I don't see any kind of effect. I didn't give up instantly and started using this on a regular base nevertheless, but even then there was no visible improvement to my lips. Then I tried to scrub with way more pressure, almost violently, and indeed, a bit of dry skin came off, but my lips really felt raw and kind of numb after that. It just wasn't an overly pleasant experience.Great scent and taste, cute packing, but, sadly, without any effect for me. :(
