As excited as I am that it’s summer, I am just as excited to move into a new place.
I currently reside in a very HOT part of Los Angeles, and completely feel like I need to locate back to the city.
However, the part of moving that I strongly dislike, is when it comes to redecorating my home, and i’m trying to decide what can work, and what won’t work, that is always a tough task for me.
Usually, I end up buying all of my furniture from Ikea here in L.A, and I know that sounds ridiculous, but I would much rather find a more creative, and interesting way to decorate, if I could.
So, I recently came across Stone And Sawyer, as i’ve always had difficultly finding ways to include the right lighting fixtures into my home.
When I found out about Stone And Sawyer, I found out that for the last three years they have actually been designing and creating their own first collection of table lamps inspired by modernist design, which I love.
They also work exclusively with American woodworkers, metal finishers, and lampshade manufacturers.
Instead of going with my typical Ikea lamp, I would much rather have something that is beautifully crafted, and can last me quite a long time. When I found out that Stone And Sawyer carefully prepares and glazes each lamp by hand and that every lamp is made with hand finished black walnut necks and bases, with blackened brass metal parts and handmade shades in white or a natural linen, I was all game!
In April of 2015, they just added the Porter and Heyward to their collection, and they recently just added another new lamp that is currently available.
