Wow! just wow! And you thought that your white Galaxy S III would be something special to show to your friends?. hHell no, it isn’t. And Here is the full story of how Shane Bennett, a huge Samsung Fan, got one of the few customized version of the amazing Samsung Galaxy S III through an unusual chain of events.

Everything started with a half-jokingly message in Facebook asking Samsung Canada for a free phone with the drawing of a dragon as a token gift. Shane asked:

I was just wondering if I could get a free Galaxy S3?

Attached to his message he included the drawing of a dragon doing “RAWR”. As a response to his kind request, Samsung Canada politely explained that there is no way they could give everyone person who asked a free phone. Samsung would go out of business. Attached to that message, they sent a kangaroo on an unicicle drawing as a response.

But that didn’t stop Shane, a Samsung fan who indicated to Samsung Canada that he already owned Samsung HDTV, Samsung notebook and a good old Samsung Galaxy S. The story went viral on Reddit. But it didn’t end there. Samsung Canada contacted him and told him to expect a delivery of a phone within the next few days.

Shane received a package from from Samsung Canada. It was not just a regular box, it had a customized wrap and under that wrapping a special phone was waiting. It is a unique phone with custom backart and a special background that matches up artwork on the bezel and according to Samsung Canada, it’s the only customized Galaxy S III in Canada. WOW!

So being a fanboy does pay, at least in this case. Congrats to Shane and enjoy your new awesome phone!
