I forgot my ereader in my cousin’s car when I came back with them on the weekend and I feel so lost without it! Luckily, it’s New Comic Book Day and I have four new books to read. Here’s Pull List #2
Convergence: Batgirl #1
I’m more of a Marvel fan than DC, but since DC is starting their new Convergence event, I thought I’d hop on the bandwagon with Convergence: Batgirl #1. The new miniseries will end the current New 52 universe. Or
something like that. In #1, the dome that encapsulated Gotham has dissolved and Batgirl, Stephanie Brown, is informed that she has been chosen as Gotham’s champion. She will have to fight other champions to save Gotham.
S.H.I.E.L.D. #4
The latest issue of S.H.I.E.L.D. feature the Invisable Woman herself, Sue Richards of the Fantastic Four (I’m excited for the
reboot movie coming out this August). Sue helps Coulson out with an extraction mission, but something goes wrong. I have to saw, I got a little choked up when Coulson brought up Richard’s father.
Storm #10
Cyborg Zombies. That’s all I have to say about the latest issue on my favorite X-Man. Cyborg Zombies.
Southern Cross #2
Last, but not least is issue #2 of Southern Cross. While at
Toronto Comicon, I got a copy of Southern Cross #1 signed by Becky Cloonan (story/cover), and Andy Belanger (art). It’s about a woman, Alex Blaith, traveling on the tanker space ship, Southern Cross, to the refinery on one of Saturn’s moons to collect her sister’s ashes. Only now Blaith’s cabin-mate is missing and she learned that someone died on the last voyage of Southern Cross, died in HER room.
It’s starting to get kind of spooky… Can’t wait for issue #3 out in May.
