Preparing for Spring Maintenance: Inspect Your Boat's Lifelines

Lifelines on a sailboat are one of those safety features sailors seldom think about - until suddenly they have to. Aging lifelines can corrode in unnoticed places, weakening to the point that in an emergency, when your life may literally hang in the balance, they make break under an abrupt stress - as when someone is falling overboard.
