I love the color emerald green. Everything about it is so regal and so rich and so complimentary on all skin tones and especially on us desi girls! Today’s post is going to be on plus size Ethnic Fashion Indian Festive Dressing. Wedding season will be upon us soon but before that the festival season is here. Ganesh Chaturthi to Rakhi to Navratri so on and so forth. I am so excited to take out my ethnic wear and play dress up.

Finding the right fit in plus size is always a challenge but I scored big when I got this beautiful emerald green royalty for myself. I fell in love with the color first and prayed it would fit me. And it did , I love love love this Anarkali.
I have this emerald green eyeshadow from makeup geek called epic, which is in a foiled finish and it goes so perfectly well with this suit. I did a makeup look around this outfit and it’s now up on YouTube channel, in case you want to check it out you may watch it here.
Although this suit doesnt exactly need a neck piece I decided to deck it up with this beautiful jewelry set I picked up from Jaipur from the famous Bapu Bazar. Isn’t it so pretty?

I am totally trying to show it off here. Also can we take a moment to appreciate the glitz and glam of my shoes. It’s just too bling and too festive.
I don’t wear ethnic wear on a regular basis so when I do it’s always over the top for me. I like to do the whole shebaang, makeup outfit and hair. I curled my hair, put on makeup and did a little twirl too.
The lipstick here is Colorbar 008 Rustic. I swear I have had someone or the other ask me every time I put this on and flew have even bought it. So do look for this shade on your next visit to makeup shopping.

I love the detailing on the back. I am not comfortable with a totally backless Anarkali but a little bit of neck detailing just makes it more desirable to me. And yes I am trying to show it off in this picture.
So yes this is one of my treasured pieces i my ethnic collection. I love the color and the fit and I can totally see myself dressing up in this emerald beauty soon again. What is your favorite color to rock this festive season ?
