HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! AND HAPPY BLOG ANNIVERSARY TO ME!!! YAY! Same day last year at almost this time (when I am writing it,not while you are reading it. LOL) I was nervously penning down my first ever blog post. Wondering as if whole world is out there to see my work. No, but I was really anxious and nervous writing it. Here is a preview of my first blog post . Of-course it has to be smokey eyes, but its a soft smokey eye with gold and brown eyeshadows.
But the point is when I did start it I wasnt sure what and how much time will I be giving my blog, I seriously started blogging after July, but technically this is my blog anniversary and it sure is an important date for me. Okay so enough of all that... Back to this post.
How was your New Year's Eve? Mine was fun. Enjoyed a lot with family and friends. For this post I am sharing the pictures of a soft smokey eye that I was supposed to post last year...I meant for the New Year's Eve... but I totally forgot about it. So here are the photos.
I have used URBAN DECAY AMMO PALETTE for this soft smokey eye look. I have used Urban decay eyeshadows in LAST CALL, SIN, OIL SLICK and POLYESTER BRIDE .
Here is how I created this PINK SMOKEY EYE look :
1.After priming the lids with URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION I took a and applied eyeshadow on the inner third and outer third of the lids, and I left the center of the lids bare.
2. Next I took SIN on another eyeshadow brush and applied to the center of the lids and blending it with Last Call eyeshadow using small soft strokes.
3. Next I took Oil Slick eyeshadow and patted it over the inner third and outer third of the lids and also on the lower lash line and smudge it using a small pencil brush or blending brush.
4. Next taking a fluffy bending brush just blend the eyeshadows into the crease to eliminate any harsh lines.
5. For the highlight shade I have used Polyester Bride under the brow bone .
6. Next I applied Maybelline's Colossal mascara on both top and bottom lashes. And then I applied false eye lashes.
7. For the eyeliner I changed it up a bit, I did a double winged liner and kept some gap and applied Polyester Bride in between the two lines.
Tada!!! We are done! I wanted to put it up before the New Year's eve but whats done is done now. I hope you do try this look.
Do let me know how you liked this pink smokey eye look.
Until next time...
