Pastel Dip Dye Lilac

By Yougottabegorgeousx @yougottabgorgex
This Christmas I wanted to go "crazy" and dip dye my hair. I bought two colours one of which was the Directions Colour Semi Permanent Hair Colour. I got the color lilac which is pretty much lilac. I don't really know how else to describe it.
Pastel Dip Dye Lilac
When you first get it it comes in a tub and the actual product is thick and very much like a conditioner. You put it on your hair, wherever you want it, I put it in the ends, and it says leave it on for 15 minutes. I did this as my hair is a little dry and damaged at the moment. I then went and washed it off. When I dried my hair I honestly could see no difference. When I looked in the light every so often I could see a streak of gray in it. I was so disappointed as I had heard such amazing reviews. I went out and then after around 4 hours I decided to do it again but leave the dye on for longer. I ended up leaving it on for about 1 hour and then went to go and wash it off. There was a bit more color but still it was mainly gray tinted rather than the lilac it's supposed to be.Overall I was very disappointed with this product. Maybe if I had got a darker color it would have shown up more. Another point is that my hair is not bleached, although I did not think this would make much a difference because I have very light hair that picks up color very well.I did use the Schwarzkopf XXL dye as well, so if you want a review of this please comment below. Also if you have used this product please comment or tweet me saying which color and how well it worked. Thanks see you soon.
