Opulent artistic details around every corner had me in awe during my last visit to Paris in spring this year. It's not too exaggerating to say that the city itself is a living and constantly evolving art museum. Everyone is a performer in some form of arts, and they're out to be seen. So it really comes as no surprise that this grand city is a nurture ground for designers, artists or anyone with a creative mind. Not to mention that French men and women are insanely well dressed with the 'effortlessly chic' style that they created.
I have to admit that going for the 'effortless chic' look is one sophisticated styling skill that takes time and numerous failed attempts to master (which still isn't exactly my forte!). The one most enlightened moment in styling I came across when watching the Parisians out to play in their daily lives is their sophistication on mixing and matching high end designer fashion with €5 pre-loved vintage find. For me this is exactly the most exciting aspect of styling that makes it such a unique vehicle in expressing yourself and how you want to be remembered.
Having brought home a suitcase packed with treasures guided by my vintage shopping GPS (Guilty Pleasure System) in Paris, I thought I'd present this 'Parisian State of Mind' lookbook throwing in a few key pieces that I oh-so-proudly scored in the vintage stores (with ridiculously budget-friendly price tags!). And a big thanks to Vision Direct who's sent me this pair Kenzo Paris crystal spotted purple sunglasses that arrived just before my birthday to complete this look.
