I had a super fun, super busy weekend where I was out and about for most of it.
Friday evening I met up with friends at Bello Bio, an Italian vegan restaurant in Kensington Market. It’s a small space, so we kind of took over most of their tables. So many yummy things to choose from though. I went with a sandwich, which came with this phenomenal spelt salad. So good!
My Roast Masala sandwich on focaccia. The roast was made from lentils and was very tasty.
Of course I couldn’t leave without trying one of their vegan cannoli. I don’t think I ever had one pre-vegan, but it was delicious. Definitely worth the full tummy!
On my way to meet M & N to go to Ikea, I saw this cute Pride cow in the window of Marty Millionaire. Unfortunately, I think I’ll be out of town for the World Pride Parade this year.
Ikea purchases! New pillows, ginger cookies and sipping a refreshing pear cider while we waited for the shuttle. After I got back in the city, M gave me a much needed hair cut!
Sunday was the first ever Toronto Vegan Pop Up Shop! I’ll post more about that tomorrow (with lots of pictures of the yummy things I bought!) Big thanks MeShell for organizing such an amazing event. I can’t wait until the next one!
Funny enough, while C and I were out on Sunday, I was wearing my new Stay Home Club cardigan. How ironic. Walking down Queen East we stopped into Majesteas for some iced teas. I got the Goji Goodness green tea and C got Hibiscus. Hit the spot.
How was your weekend? Did you get out and about in your own city?
