It was Alex’s birthday recently, and what better excuse to finally meet his dad. Alex loves the theatre, and although he’d already seen the production his dad had booked before, he was still just as excited. Me, lucky enough to be invited too, I was ecstatic that I was finally getting to see the musical I’d wanted to book for such a long time. Dinner first, the awkward questions soon passed “how did you meet?”, “When did you know you liked him?”, “What made you go for It?” – when you met at uni and first kissed on a boozy night out (ok after messaging as friends, and flirting a little, for quite a while), the face does start to turn a slight rosy colour…
