My experience with the product

The Oriflame The One Illuskin Powder range comes in a very sleek and compact packaging. The pressed powder comes in a square pan and contains a mirror on the underside and a slim puff applicator. Compared to the other compact in the Oriflame range, this packaging is slimmer and much more compact. I like the clean, no frills packaging. The outer cardboard and inner powder are bluish purple in color and contains all the necessary infos. The pressed powder has a silky, smooth texture and is finely milled. However its not too soft so the brush does not kick off excess powder in the pan.,The powder blends like a dream, it just melts into the skin taking away shine, without adding a dry, matte finish. When applied over foundation, it doesn’t give a heavy cakey look – its on the sheerer side and best used as a setting powder. It gives light coverage, does not clog pores and does not give a heavy, cakey look even if you end up applying excess. As I have dry to combination skin - It gives decent oil control on my T-zone. If you stay in a humid place and have extremely oily skin, this would keep you shine-free for about 4 hours at most, if you have moderately oily/combination skin, it would keep the oil at bay longer. On the upside, because its a silky, sheer powder, it does not catch onto dryness and can be used by all skin types. The texture and blendability is much better than some of the cheaper compacts I have tried so far.

It comes in 3 shades and #03 Deep is an good match for my skin. Overall, I like this pressed powder a lot and would recommend it if you’re looking for a good setting powder!
