Why stop yourself from having a good time even though it's snowing outside, right? Valentine's day is near and this side of the world, it is not any pretty (read warm) outside. So does that mean I need to give up on all those pretty lace dresses in my closet? I decided not to.

In today's post, I am styling a lime green cable knit sweater and black ankle boots c/o Lovely Shoes. The sweater is very warm and cozy and I fell in love with it's color. The ankle boots look really chic but are certainly not made for days there's snow heaped outside your front door.
The boots are very sleek but the material is fit only when transitioning from winter to spring. I plan on wearing these more on days we manage to touch temperatures in 50's. You should check out their website if you are looking for chic and reasonably priced clothing.
The key to wearing a lace dress in winter is in the layering and in fact, a maxi dress is such a versatile piece to have in your closet. Layer with a Cable knit sweater, tights/slacks/skinny pants and ankle boots for the perfect winter outfit. It is my favorite outfit so far this winter! I am looking forward to wearing this dress come Spring & Summer.
