Everyday that my daughter is growing up, she is also teaching me a new lesson. Here's what I noticed about her yesterday, She is not afraid of the dark. She will easily walk into a room with no lights on and try and look for her toys. She is also not afraid of strangers (???) - Yeah, I am not sure, if I should be happy or sad about that one. She will easily go up to anyone and try and initiate a conversation which is babbling at this point.
So at what point exactly do we start fearing things? Are we programmed to fear the dark or is it people around us that imbibe in us that fear? Who taught us to be afraid of strangers? I am actually proud of my daughter for being able to walk into a dark room since I remember freaking out at the thought of a trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night when I was young. I am also happy that she can easily say hi to any and everyone we comes across with a big smile.
I understand that fear is good but I have seen a lot of fearless people living their lives on their own terms and being successful at what they do then why do we fear a lot of things that we shouldn't? Courage is certainly a difficult virtue to have.
Anyhow, talking about today's outfit - I am wearing this dress from Chicnova which I instantly fell in love with looking at the color and the detailing. I have paired it up with a mini bag, a pair of wedges and a statement necklace. I tried braiding my hair this time since my bangs have been growing out and make my hair go all over the place. :)
