Hey there,
So you may be aware, that one of my new year blog goals, is to talk a little bit more fashion and lifestyle…So here it goes…
Now I will be the first to admit, I have no clue when it comes to fashion, what patterns clash and what colours compliment, and who’s wearing what on the catwalks. (Although growing up, I did always wanted to be a famous fashion designer). However, I do have a passion for clothes and shopping, (What girl doesn’t?) and I really love seeing other people’s outfit of the day posts, mainly to get inspiration for my own wardrobe, to see how things can be worn, and just to see how things look on.
Today’s outfit, is an option I chose to wear at the weekend. Usually, I opt for a more casual look, but every now and then I think to myself…let’s make an effort. And I do love an all black outfit, (Especially when the Christmas pounds are still on…black can hide many a sins).
The best thing about this outfit, is that it can be worn day through to night, and I feel very cosy, warm and snug in it. And of course I’m wearing fur and leather, my two favorite things. I have had my eye on Topshop’s fur cardi selection for the past few years, my two housemates in uni have each got one, and I have been patiently waiting for a new one to come out. As soon as I saw this, I had to have it! At first I wasn’t sure on the fit, as it can make you look a bit wide at times, but I soon got past that. It can’t really be worn with a coat, but unless it is raining, you won’t need one, as it is so thick and warm.
For a while, I had sworn of leggings, I wore them practically everyday for three years in uni, so I was trying to avoid them and stick to jeans. But of course, we all know, leggings are just way to comfy. I picked these up in River Island, just before Christmas. They were only around £20.00. I went for these ones in particular, because of the gold zip detailing at the top. This meant I could wear them high waisted, with tops tucked in, and casual. They are really thick to, so no need to worry about having your knickers on show!
The top I have had a few years, it is cream in colour, floaty, (And flattering), with a zip detail at the back. I am not sure why, but I have only recently started actually wearing this top. I tend to do this, buy clothes, not wear them and forget about them. Luckily I have rediscovered this one.
To finish the outfit off, I paired it with my over the knee leather boots, (I had from Santa two years ago), which are a winter wardrobe favorite of mine. I was popping out for the day to meet friends, unsure of the exact plans or where we would end up, so this was the perfect dressy/casual look.
I hope you enjoyed my first OOTD post, let me know what you think…have a fab day.
Lots of love,
KBxx
