Oh alright, apologies to those who really have suffered in those appalling ways but the fact is that my baby has died my computer has crashed and burned. One minute it was sitting there before me, quiet and docile and doing exactly what I told it and then - CRASH - down it went and I was left bereft! I tried everything including the kiss of life which nearly shorted me let alone the computer but to no avail and in the end it was an emergency ride down to my local computer emergency center. It has gone into intensive care but 'Nurse' Dan of Wessex Computers - first class company, or at least, they better be! - has assured me that by the time I return from Rhodes all will be well and my baby will live again! I have left 'SoD' in a supervisory capacity. Odd isn't it, but computers are rather like wives, one does tend to take them for granted and when suddenly they're not there, all is confusion. Anyway, pro tem I am using the 'Memsahib's lap top which is nice but soooooooooo titchy!
