On Wednesday, Google presented the new Google Nexus 7, the successor to the popular and affordable 7-inch Android tablet. Just like last year, the tablet is made by ASUS and the Taiwanese manufacturer has already released some official covers today.
ASUS comes with various official accessories for the new Nexus 7, including two screen protectors which, according to the company, successfully deal with reflections and are easier to apply. More interesting are the two covers that ASUS has just launched.
Travel Cover for the new Nexus 7
The Travel Cover for the new Google ASUS Nexus 7 comes in different striking colours and is made of a soft material that provides the tablet with great protection. Basically it’s a flip-style case that protects the whole tablet, including the screen. Naturally, there are cut-outs for the camera and all the buttons so that the use of the tablet is not affected. The price of the accessory is not yet known but will probably be around 19 euros.
Premium Cover for the new Nexus 7
A more sophisticated cover / case is the Premium Cover for the new Nexus 7. This accessory features a soft microfiber interior and durable polyurethane surface and it comes in a white and a black version. In addition to protecting the tablet in the same way as the Travel Cover, you can use this accessory to place new Nexus 7 at different angles, so you can comfortably watch movies or surf the internet. It is expected that the Premium Cover gets a price of around 30 euros.
The new Google Nexus 7 will be available from July 30 in the U.S.
