They were all sold out so I looked around and was about to walk out with some makeup wipes when I noticed NYX's Matte Bronzer. I remembered I was looking for a good Matte bronzer to use in my kit. I did just get the *Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer* recently for myself but I wanted something a pinch darker and to be honest, with no fragrance. Just because I like to put cocoa smelling bronzer on my face, that doesn't mean everyone else does. I have to consider my clients so I try to get neutral but effective products :-)
What got my attention was the box. It was really pretty, with a heart and a beautiful face on the side panel. I can't say it enough, I'm such a sucker for good packaging! Lol! >.<
I opened the box to find a pretty compact. I love that the same design on the box is on the compact as well. It's shiny with rounded edges and just looks really glamorous!
There were only 3 shades, Light, Medium & Dark. The Light shade is actually pretty dark with a nice cocoa color & not too many red undertones. I was looking for more of a true brown because I can use it on more complexions. It's buildable and not chalky in texture, like, at all. In fact, it feels light.
It retailed for $8.99 but I got 20% off so it was just under $8 total. I will be getting the other 2 shades for my kit and all 3 for myself as well. that's 6 compacts for around $50. That's amazing considering some cost up to $85 for just one, but I'm not naming names.....(cough, cough..Guerlain-Terracotta)
