Hey There,

I have actually been meaning to blog about these two camouflaging beauts for a while, (We are going back quite a few months). One of which has actually been sat in my ‘empties’ blog pile. Sometimes I get so caught up with my new make up or skincare, that I forget about the wonder products I already have.

After running out of my most loved collection concealer, I reached out to the blogging community on Twitter for some concealer recommendations. I didn’t want to pay over the top prices, but I wanted a decent coverage, one that lasted, and didn’t crease….And of course, that led me to NYX Cosmetics. I was told I had to try their HD Concealer Wand and being the girl I am, I had to come away with more than one product, so I brought the Above & Beyond Concealer,  (And some Brow cake).

The HD concealer wand, is a high definition, mineral enriched, talc and paraben free concealer, the wand application makes it the ideal under eye concealer. It applies perfectly, and the formula is very lightweight. None of that clumpy, drying crap. It camouflages my late nights and dark circles effortlessly, with no ‘caked’ look, and did blend in well over my imperfections. Having said that I actually prefer Above & Beyond as a imperfection cover up. It is slightly richer and thicker in consistency, and more moisture rich, so great for my combination skin. I often find the skin around the blemishes to be slightly dryer, the stage after those awful spots. Since I have run out of my wand, I have started to use the Above & Beyoned under my eyes, and although I prefer the wand, it is still pretty damn good. Crease free, good coverage, and not too heavy, (Although there can be a little bit of mascara smudge in the mornings). Overall I love both concealers, I think the HD wand has knocked the Collection concealer of the top spot for me. After having such good results with these two and the Brow cake, I’m definitely on the hunt for some new NYX cosmetics to try, so any recommendations let me know.

For both concealers, I chose the color light/pale 03.  The swatches look really different to my skin tone here, but on my face they are perfect.

What is your favorite concealer? Have you tried any of the NYX cosmetics range?

Have a lovely day all.

Lots of Love,
KBxx
