
Nuts Patti/Chikki(Brittle)Recipe

- 1/4 cup Almonds (badam)
- 1/4 cup Cashew nuts (kaju)
- 1/4 cup Crushed Walnuts (akhrot)
- ¼ cup peanut (moongphali)
- 1/4 cup raisins(kishmish)optional
- 11/2 cup Jaggery (gur)
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
Method:
- Roast the peanuts Cool and remove the skin roughly pound.
- Roast the almonds and cashew nuts lightly and chop roughly.
- Grease a tray.
- Cook jaggery till thick syrup is formed.
- To test that the syrup is ready put a drop in cold water. If it forms a firm ball the syrup is ready.
- When the jaggery has melted completely add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Add roasted cashew nuts, walnuts, almonds, peanuts,raisins and the remaining ghee mix well and immediately spread the mixture on the greased plate/ tray and spread with a rolling-pin.
- Let it cool slightly before cutting into desired shapes.
- When it cools loosen the squares and serve.
