Nivea Lip Butter

By Bbeautylove @bbeautylove

A new little release from Nivea, perfectly timed for the chapped lip season, are the cute Lip Butter pots. These little tins contain a butter salve in a variety of flavours to keep your lips moisturised this Winter.

I picked up the Caramel Cream flavor (it sounded delicious) but sadly it smells more like popcorn, which although nice isn’t the smell I signed up for. Others to choose from include an original scent-less one and a raspberry rose one that I might also try.

They are small and slim, so great for handbags, pockets and desks and the lid is pretty sturdy (it shouldn’t randomly become loose on your train journey to work).

Each tin contains a blend of  Shea Butter and Almond Oil and it does leave lips feeling nicely nourished and soft. You will need to reapply this regularly though, as the hydration isn’t so intense that it lasts all day, but it is very pleasant to use.

It does work underneath and on top of most lip products and the smell lingers long enough so you still know it’s there.

All in all, this isn’t as good as Nivea’s Milk & Honey lip care stick (which I highly recommend) but it is very nice. It’s cheap, smells ok and does add moisture to even the driest of lips like mine.

It can’t hurt to try…

Available from Boots, Superdrug, Supermarkets and online. Priced £1.49.
