Hello Metalheads! I’m going to introduce today an interesting Spanish Extreme Metal band from Galicia called Nihil, which has released its first album entitled “Nights Of Silence”.

We find the roots of Nihil in 2008 when Aitor Bouzas and Juan Carlos Hernandez decided to start a musical project to play covers from their favorite bands. Shortly after, two new members, Santiago Vilaboa and Pablo Larrubia, joined the band and they started their musical way under the name of Nigerstella.

These guys composed a first album which has never been recorded, it was entitled “Nigerstella 2012″ and they have been playing it many times in several shows and different stages since 2009.

Nigerstella band has suffered several line-up changes and with the arrival of the new bassist Adrian Costal in 2011 and the new vocalist Adrian Gonzalez in 2012, the band takes a new path. The result was a new band’s name and a new vision as band, the current musical project that we know as Nihil at this moment.

Nihil have been working hard to record their first album, which was realesed on Summer 2013 and it was entitled “Nights Of Silence”.

This first album contains five recommended brutal tracks in which new worlds from distant galaxies with other species or questions about human existence, are mixing with a great Extreme Metal sound, gutural voices, powerful drums and disquieting parts, displaying a sound with different influences from bands like Opeth, Behemoth or Gojira.

The song which gives the album its title, “Night Of Silence”, with an impressive starting, is a fantastic track with very good guitars and drums which is encreasing the intensity and force displaying a great and brutal sound high recommended for all Extreme Metal lovers.

“Frozen Hope” is a song with really amazing gutural voices, good guitar melody, fantastic changes of pace with interesting details from pure Death Metal to a more technical sounds.

With more than ten minutes, “6000 Light-years” is a track with many elements, heavy touches, great voices from beyond the grave and a really great melody line, resulting a very good and disquieting song.

“Singularity” is another good track in the album with different parts, demolisher gutural voices and really amazing drums, you can enjoy this song by clicking the following link.

The end song in the album, entitled “Paradox”, is a powerful track about the Universe and the human existence with a surounding sound really agressive and brutal, fantastic work of Adrian on vocals and great drums.
