Last week I joined a few other foodies at the opening night of The Fuzzy Duck Pub & Kitchen in Nuneaton. A place probably not known for it culinary prowess. Well The Fuzzy Duck is trying to change that just a little bit.
We tried out a few samples of the food, knocked back a cocktail or two, and possibly most importantly got to chat to the new Head Chef about his menu, his food and his vision. Not surprisingly, local produce and provenance featured highly, but this is so important to patrons nowadays it was good to hear.
The food we sampled wasn’t a complete reflection of the menu that’s to come, which will feature daily specials as well as an array of twists on traditional pub food and stone baked pizzas, but here’s a few pics of what we did have. I believe that the chicken skewers and the cod & chorizo balls will be available though!
King Prawns
Sun Dried Tomato & Mozarella
Crostini
Sausage and Mash with Carmelised Onions
Cod & Chorizo Balls
Chicken Skewers with Chorizo Crumb
Pan fried duck with garlic mash
homemade brownies
Rossa Gelato
If you live over Warwickshire way, or are ever passing near Nuneaton, bear this one in mind for a visit!
