New Menu at The Plough Huddlesford

By Thefoodiecoupleblog
The Plough Inn is a country pub and restaurant, situated in the delightful village of Huddlesford between Lichfield and Whittington alongside the Coventry canal. I’ve previously told you a little about it here, but since then the interior has had a bit of a revamp and they’ve recently launched their new menu!11235385_430604007146104_2986868530394337346_nThe owners Mark Hynett and Andy Twigg have put a lot of love and passion into the Plough, and it’s clear to see. The Plough concentrates on their unpretentious atmosphere, welcoming literally every man and his dog through the doors, whether you’re in search of a celebratory meal or a quick bite whilst out walking the dog and everything in between. The canal side location is gorgeous, as is their ‘not so secret’ garden.13173700_465549060318265_1091172156402505827_nCopy of P1080725The menu has interesting, well conceived ideas and offers something that’s just that cut above normal pub grub. To drink there’s craft and cask beers, a large range of gin and much more. The friendly warm welcome will make you feel right at home.I joined friend and fellow blogger Ellen a couple of weeks ago to try some of their lovely sounding new menu items – a lot of fun (and food) was had! Here’s a sneak peak of what you can expect from the new menu! Mezze - Hummus, raita, olives, feta, taramasalata, harissa flatbread, rice & lentil salad

I can truly say I was very impressed with the dishes I tried, the food was cooked excellently and it presented me with bold and interesting flavours and ideas which I really enjoyed. I’d particularly recommend the Plough twist on the Greek Salad, The Lamb Rump and the Parpadelle! As well as all this yummy food they’re also open 7 days a week for breakfast and brunch and offer homemade cakes and coffee through the day too, as well as a specials and sandwiches board which changes regularly.Find them on Facebook or on the web!
