I guess there’ll be a part three, too. I’m still waiting for some products – it’s been over a month and I think it is mostly due to vacations that my post is delayed. Well, these are the cons of on-line shopping.
It seems that my skincare obsession continues, judging by the amount of mini skincare sets I’ve ordered. Even though I have found HG in practically every category, I still have to test more. Fortunately, some brands were kind enough to launch mini/discovery sets which give you enough to properly test a big range of products without breaking the bank. After all, it is easier to throw out a mini than a full size.
After July’s epic empties, I feel slightly better about the amount of stuff I got. At least I know that I can use it all up.
The first set is Nuxe Travel Kit. I calculated the value and I think it is a pretty good value for the price. It costs 13.50 gbp, while the value of the products you are getting is (according to my calculations) 28.42 gbp. The set contains a mini Cleansing Micellar Water, Nuxellence Jeunesse Youth and Radiance Revealing Fluid, mini Huile Prodigieuse, Crème Fraiche de Beauté 24hr Soothing and Moisturizing Cream and Fondant Shower Gel. If I recall correctly, I have already tried samples Nuxellence Fluid and Crème Fraiche, but I’m looking forward to properly test them. I also can’t wait to try Shower Gel to see how it compares to Caudalie.
The second set is Decléor Hydrating Discovery Kit. This one retails for 16.60gbp and it is a great value, too. Although they say that the value is 48gbp, according to my calculations it is actually 42gbp, which is still good. I’ve been using several Decléor products several years ago – some I liked, some I didn’t and I can’t wait to test them again. This set contains mini Aroma Cleanse Essential Cleansing Milk and Tonifying Lotion, Aromaessence Neroli Super Serum, Hydra Floral Cream and Aroma Night Essential Night Balm.
And finally Emma Hardie Luxury Superskin Face & Body Hamper. Every blogger on the planet has raved about Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm so, naturally, I had to jump on the bandwagon too. Instead of shelling out for a full sized balm, which I might not even like, I was very pleased when I found out that they offer a discovery set. From my estimations, the set is not as good a value as Decleor’s, for example, but it is still a nice way to get to know the line. It retails for 30gbp and comes in a nice cosmetic bag. This set gives you 15 ml of Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm, a mini Amazing Face Age Support Treatment Cream, Amazing Face Rejuvenating Night Cream, Body Cleanser, Body Lotion, Hydra Body Oil and Body Buffing Cloth (which I forgot to take out of the bag). I don’t think I even have to mention that I can’t wait to try these products.
