New Beginnings

September, for most, hails the end of summer. Holidays and festivals are almost over and it's time to get back to reality, back to work, back to school, and back to tights.

I can't wait to wear that first pair of tights.

To me, September always feels like the start of something - perhaps the nostalgia of the first day back to school with a fully loaded pencil case and new shoes triggers it - but September feels like the true beginning of the year (while January is just that horrible month of marketed guilt after Christmas). This is the perfect time for planning a change in your life, for planning Christmas holidays, or just rearranging your wardrobe and decluttering your space. I made a conscious decision to reconnect with things I enjoyed doing as a child and incorporate them into my daily life, i.e. I'm reclaiming my hobbies (note the last time I posted a blog was September 2016)!

As the days get cooler and darker, and hibernation seems like a good idea, it's important to be mindful of our mental health. Check in with yourself and be kind to yourself. September is a fresh start, so get planning your new year. Here are a few things you might need to help you along the way:
