So I'm back with another nail growth post and today I'm all about nail oils.
I have just got into using nail oil and I am really seeing a difference. For me it's just moisturizing the nails and helping them to not peel. It is great when my nails feel slightly drier than usual and it feels so luxurious.
I personally use Sally Hansen Cuticle and Nail Oil.It smells just like lavender which is lovely and it really helps with my brittle nails. I use this on my cuticles and this is great as it softens them and makes them easier to remove and push back. It is just great at helping my nails feel stronger and less peeley (yeah I don't think that's a word...)
Another nail oil is from Champneys, a brand I really love as it just feels so luxurious at reasonable prices.
It is £8.50 here and it mainly a cuticle softening oil. It also has mousturizing factors which will help with keeping the nails strong and that means they have a good base to grow.
If you are looking for something a little more higher end then OPI do some really nice oils. I personally dislike the smell, but my mom loves them and uses hers every day.
This is £16.50 here which is a little more expensive but it really is worth it. It is quite a thin oil, which makes it sound weak but it just means that it doesn't sit on the nail it really soaks up and you can tell after about half an hour that it has made a real difference.
I also really like the Nails Inc Cuticle Pen.
I like the idea of a pen as it means you are less likely to waste product as you can directly put it where you want. This product really appeals to me as it has extra vitamin E which is great for the nails and the cuticles. This is £12 here.
My final product is from elf and is only £1.50 here! This product is so good for the nails as it had added almond and avocado oils which is so nourishing and helps makes the cuticles a lot softer and the nails a lot stronger. It also includes loads of fabulous vitamins (E,C,A,B5) and Aloe and this is amazing. It leaves your nails looking healthier and really hydrated.
Over all I love the idea of nail oil and I really believe that they create a great base for your nails to grow stronger.
As you can see my nails are well short at the mo. I decided to start fresh and file them all down. This means there is no way I can bite them and hopefully this will give me enough time to really get out of the habit of biting them.
Thank you very much, see you soon.
