I firmly believe one can only find the way to what makes the heart sings when one is lost.
Thanks of my poor (or almost next to nothing) sense of navigation behind the wheels, I stumbled upon the sweetest gourmet treasure on my second visit to this lovely place called Hobart while I was doing a detour finding my way to the Salamanca Market.
It was a clear, chilly morning on the Apple Isle. I was on a mission to find something satisfying and heart-warming to kick start my week-long feast in the Southern state that has earned its fame as the food bowl of Australia.
Sniff sniff: what’s in the air? I followed my nose to this heritage brick warehouse on Hampden Road at Battery point. As soon as I saw locals flocking into this little bakery I know I’ve digged out a piece of gem.
Walking straight up to the counter with all sorts of freshly baked savoury and sweet delights lined up in front of me, oh! How could I resist to not have my mouth wide opened.
Now my Apple Isle is full of sweet air.

P.S. Even if you can’t see yourself visiting this lovely bakery any time soon, be sure to give them a Like on Facebook – their regular posts of those flaky raspberry tarts and figs and mascarpone pastry will transform any newsfeed into eye candy.
