My First Chanel!

My first Chanel!

Today’s FOTD features a clean base look with minimal eye makeup and peachy orange lips.
I’m missing my makeup so much! lol!
I just have this strong urge to apply makeup and look beautiful after working so hard and looking so shag  for the past few days.

FOTD using this foundation, along with Makeup Forever concealer.

My first Chanel is not their bags but their foundation! I have gotten their Mat Lumiere Perfection and have been my staple to go foundation since then.  The classic Chanel logo on a black case speaks simplicity yet elegantly beautiful at the same time. Of course, I’m not buying this just because of the sleek design. Their foundation is on a pricey side but I’ve fallen in love with the texture of the powder ever since I tried it.

The foundation casing has a huge mirror in it that’s big enough to see my entire face. My foundation is in the color 12 Beige Rose.
According to their website:

MAT LUMIÈRE PERFECTION is the ideal balance between a matte finish, comfort and luminosity.

Shiny areas are matified, imperfections instantly covered and the radiance of the face revealed. The silica coated pigments give the complexion a flawless matte finish with a soft glow from within.

Skin stays fresh and pure all day long, even in heat, humidity and during non-stop activity, thanks to a combination of powders controlling sebum and sweat.

The silky lightweight texture gives a second skin feeling and a delightful sensation of moisture. From morning to night, the complexion is perfect: velvety, even, radiant.

The powder itself is very smooth but it’s quite loose, hence it sort of dirtied the case around it.

Really got to love how easy the application is. It is the perfect texture that I’m looking for, matte texture with a hint of radiance.
I bought it mainly because of the texture and its oil control properties. After trying it, I’m pretty impressed! Skin stays good with minimal oil throughout the day.

Coverage wise is light to medium coverage so a concealer is still required. Nonetheless, I love this foundation and would rate it an 8/10, minus two points just because it is too expensive.
