For Optical H, it’s a pleasure to introduce the new contributor to our Optician’s shop: Mr. Blue 2.0, an edger endorsed by the latest advancements in technology and innovation that, since its first version launch, has become a referent for every professional in the optical engineering.

Fashion and our customer’s favorite trends are essential for the development of Optical H, and that’s the reason why, thanks to the French company Essilor, currently, Mr. Blue 2.0 is at our disposal, an electronic device that expands the possibilities in lens edging techniques, creating personal shapes for every customer’s preferences.

Mr. Blue 2.0 guarantees the full control of all lenses assembly processes because it has certain abilities — bevel with fully customisable profiles, faster and more accurate drilling, upgrade and control of the data obtained from the Internet by the tool itself …— specially conceived for lenses’ design. In other words, users will be able to choose from basic forms (square, circular or oval) to more innovative and daring designs as well as a wide selection of lenses’ colours. This series of distinctive features by Essilor have been created to meet customer’s needs, without forgetting about vision health in every product at any moment.

Assembly processes

Some of the assembly steps that Mr. Blue 2.0 guarantees are:

  • Optimum following of the most curved trajectories in all finishes (drilling, grooving and bevel), shapes and even, materials.
  • Absolute centring control, thanks to the cutting hybrid technology used: adjustment + milling
  • Set of exclusive technologies intended for getting high-quality curved edges
  • Fast and accurate drilling
  • Automatic data gathering to work with the greatest of ease

In Optical H, we’ve planned to carry out a serious investment with the aim to offer our customers both design and trends, giving them the chance to customise their lenses to their liking.
