Ingredients are easy to find on your grocery stores. Our was even bought from our local market. This is my first try in making Monte Cristo Sandwich. So I hope you'll bear with me.
Cook the ham by frying it over heated pan. This is what I love about cooking in my cousin's house, they have a wonderful Teflon pan. The power of non-stick pan, its just great!
Now This will serve as a coating to your sandwich and also to make the bread crumbs stick to the sandwich.
Flatten your slice bread with a roller. Actually we don't have available roller to use, so we just make use of a soft-drinks bottle instead. Don't worry, I make sure it was washed thoroughly. ;)
Layer your ham and cheese on top of your slice bread and roll it. You can use toothpick to hold it in place and don't open up again. It was quite a pleasure making this sandwich.
Roll your sandwich over your mixed evaporated milk and eggs. Make sure you cover all surface of the sandwich.
Then run it over in bread crumbs. Make sure it spreads over your sandwich. Bread crumbs make the sandwich a little crunchy to eat.
Deep fry the sandwich until golden brown. Drain excess oil and serve it to your guest or kids. It was really delicious. I swear I can taste the cheese melting in my mouth. My nephews and niece love it. I think this will be a great snacks for kids. Its also quick and easy to prepare. Try it! I'm pretty sure your kids would love this.
