Last Tuesday in the Get Ahead Club, I interviewed Elizabeth Saunders, author of The 3 Secrets of Time Investment: How to Achieve More Success With Less Stress. One of the questions from one of our members was how to do you manage your schedule when urgent things keep coming up. Elizabeth said that you should front load your week with your most important tasks so that if something urgent does come up, you can take time off to handle that emergency.
This very thing happened to me last Thursday and I am so glad I had front loaded my important tasks early in the week. I had to take care of a family member who was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. I had to just stop all my work to help my family. It was crucial that I had already taken care of the most important things at the beginning of my week and the other stuff could easily wait until later.
