#ModaVoxBox Review from Influenster

By Slowdownandsavor

I love Influenster. I know I’ve talked about them so many times before, but it’s time for me to talk about them once again. Hooray! So here’s a quick recap: Influenster is a community of trendsetters, social media hotshots, and educated consumers who live to give opinions of products and experiences.

#modavoxbox

It’s been a while, like I said, but a few days ago, I received the new #ModaVoxBox, a box full of complimentary full-size beauty products to test and review!

#modavoxbox

The box came packed with some really great products that I was more than happy to test out and share my thoughts on. Check out my YouTube video where I unboxed the #ModaVoxBox and explain each product in some detail.

So, here’s the lowdown on what I got:

  • Rimmel London Scandaleyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara
  • Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick
  • Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner
  • Puffs SoftPack – 1 pack
  • Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask by Clairol
  • Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa
  • Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer
  • Resource Spring Water

I’m currently sitting here with a runny nose, being absolutely beyond grateful for this Puff SoftPack I received. The tissues are what I have always loved about Puffs, and the pack is, well it’s self-explanatory. I can keep it in the side of my couch and it doesn’t take up any unnecessary space.

I’m also drinking a mug of Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa, and my word, it’s good. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve had any hot chocolate, and I think the last time I made some and the time before that and before that, I used water instead of milk. This time, I decided to live a little, and used milk. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I always chose Swiss Miss as my preferred brand of hot chocolate, so by receiving this my thoughts on the brand didn’t really change, and weren’t swayed in any direction. Basically I just confirmed that yes, Swiss Miss is indeed my favorite. Still.

I also tested out the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in As You Want Victoria, and the transparent lip liner.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick

While the lipstick may not be a shade that I would ever under normal circumstances ever purchase, I am actually pleasantly surprised by it. The lipstick is ULTRA pigmented, as you can see in the video above, and it’s extremely silky and soft. I loved the texture, and for the price, this is a great product.

I am also surprised with how decent the color actually looked on me. While I’m not a lipstick girl, I actually really like how I look right now. Just sayin’. I couldn’t really tell a difference using the lip liner, but I’m willing to try it again. I’m a very chapped-lipped person by nature, so I hope it’ll help me out in that department.

Speaking of chapped lips and dry skin, the Jergens lotion that came in the box is definitely something that I will enjoy. It’s the perfect size for my purse, and it smells pretty good – like I said in my video, it smells like regular lotion but the texture is really, super thick. I hope that after a week of use, it’ll make my skin feel more moisturized. I hate when my hands are dry! SO uncomfortable!

So, I managed to drink the whole bottle of Resource Spring Water before I even THOUGHT about writing this post, doing the unboxing video, or doing any sort of review for Influenster, mostly because I was dying of thirst and wasn’t thinking at all. Luckily, I actually remembered to take a picture of the water before it was completely gone. Imagine that. I like how there’s added electrolytes. Good for mommy and Baby Jack.

I’m looking forward to trying out the Hair Food from Clairol. It’s basically a parabin and mineral oil-free hair mask that’s supposed to protect, soften and add shine to hair. It smells sweet like honey and apricots, and hey, I’m always up for trying new hair products.

The mascara from Rimmel London looks interesting too – I have tried it once, the day that that I received the box, and was only partially impressed by it. I guess I’m just not all together that great at using strangely shaped mascara wands. I tend to get the black goo all over my face on ONE eye… I guess it’s just a matter of practice.

Rimmel ScandalEyes

All in all, I’m really happy with this #ModaVoxBox, and look forward to seeing how the lotion works out for my chronically dry hands, and I can’t wait to use the Hair Food in my next shower.

Thank you so much to Influenster and to all the participating brands for putting together this amazing box.

I received all of these products free from Influenster for testing purposes.
