Hello!
It's a lovely sunny day and I couldn't help popping into Superdrug on my way home (naturally). A couple of little goodies caught my eye:
From Left to Right: George eyeliner shade 04 Golden Olive (Not actually purchased today or in Superdrug - sorry!), GOSH Long Lasting Brow Pen in 004 Wheat, Maybelline New York Master Drama eyeliner in Deep Purple/Ultra Violet, Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Gel Eyeliner in Brown, Revlon Matte lipstick in Smoked Peach
Sorry about the George eyeliner there - I'm not sure what I was planning to post about when I included that in the picture! It's not a bad eyeliner though. It's a twist up one, so no messy sharpening and goes on pretty smoothly. It doesn't last too long though
Ok, so on to my new treats!
I have heard other people say good things about the GOSH brow pen and I have committed the cardinal brow sin of slightly over tweezing my eyebrows recently so I'm hoping I can 'fake the fullness' with this! Had a little play around with it when I got home and it's looking good so far. I'll give it a proper go tomorrow and report back.
The Maybelline eyeliner was an impulse buy - it's purple, when am I ever going to wear purple eyeliner?! Still, I have read many a magazine article claiming that purple helps to bring out the color of green eyes (which I have) so I think that may have been my reasoning behind this. I might give this one a whirl at the weekend.
I am loving the shade of this Revlon lipstick! Smoked Peach, beautiful! It's a matte lipstick so I'm going to have to smother my lips in balm for a few days beforehand and put some on before I apply it as I can find matte lipsticks quite drying. Any excuse for applying lip balm all day!
Confession time - I didn't actually get the Collection 2000 gel eyeliner today. I got it yesterday.
However, I included it because it's AMAZING
I tried it out this morning and it's so good! It stayed put all day and was really easy to apply.
Plus, I only needed to use a tiny amount to get a good line on each eye. This shade of brown is so wearable for the day, not too over the top for work. I also think it will look really nice on a night out if you were playing up your lips instead of your eyes that night.
The best thing about this though is that it's only £4.99!! I think this is pretty amazing considering how good it is and that most gel liners are around the £6.99 mark. It even comes with the cutest mini brush!
The joys of new make up!
Grace
